I have been cataloging and organizing my digital photos in Lightroom. So far, the earliest ones I have found are from 2002. It is fun to see how my camera equipment, editing software, and approach have changed over the years. The photo above was taken in the Florida Keys, 2004 and has been edited in Lightroom CC and then in Photoshop CC. For comparison, I have included at the end of the post the unedited original taken with a little “point and shoot” digital camera, Kodak Easyshare CX4230. Currently, I use a DSLR, Nikon D7000.
It was clear that capturing a date on the photo was not a good idea, and I quickly stopped doing that. I have a flow for editing now that includes cropping, exposure, color, sharpness, and other tweaking as needed or desired to be creative, but I still have the same goals. Capture the moment. Let nature tell her story. What do you think?
